Free Range Bronze Turkeys

Goodman Brothers is a family run business that was started in 1962.

Goodman's geese is part of Goodman Brothers, who farm at Walsgrove Farm, Great Witley and in the surrounding area. We farm arable and asparagus, as well as 4000 geese and 4000 bronze turkeys all of which are Free Range. We also have Aberdeen Angus beef animals grazing the hillside.

The poultry business was started as a hobby in 1982 and has grown into an award winning supplier of free range, oven ready geese and bronze turkeys.

in 2007 Judy Goodman became a Fellow of Royal Agricultural Societies in recognition of outstanding service to and achievement within the agricultural industry. Judy is pictured to the right receiving her award from the Countess of Wessex.

Free Range Geese

All the geese are hatched from April to July and are reared on an extensive free range system. The geese graze over large grass paddocks and are fed on all natural foods - grass, corn, straw and a specially prepared ration containing no additives or growth promoters.

Free Range Bronze Turkeys

Our bronze turkeys are produced to the highest welfare standards and are fed on natural foods containing no additives or growth promoters. They are matured for seven to ten days to enhance the flavour.

The black feather stubs are one sure way to recognise a real turkey - there can be no imitations because a bronze turkey can only be traditionally reared on the farm. The stubs shrivel during cooking.
